The Green Truck Award is established by two leading industry magazines in Germany: VerkehrsRundschau and Trucker. The purpose of the German journalistic test is to identify trucks with the lowest fuel consumption. The comparative test involves trucks with a full weight of 40 tons. Tests are carried out on their own regulations of publications on public roads in the area between Munich and Nuremberg. At the same time, for all the test vehicles the normalized additional load is used, which makes it possible to obtain results corresponding to the actual operation.
